Our Future Directions We are undergoing a major expansion of our services to care for older people in the Illawarra region, and we are continuing to build and expand our volunteer support for residents. We have also purchased land from the Shell Cove project in Shellharbour to build a state-of-the-art and sustainable aged care village, featuring 100 independent living units and an aged care home providing low, high and dementia-specific care. Construction is planned to begin in 2012. In Goulburn, we are continuing to expand our services and our Development Application was accepted by the Goulburn Mulwaree Council in March 2011. Warrigal Care is now approved to offer 36 brand new, affordable, 2 and 3 bedroom independent living villas, and 28, 2 bedroom apartments, incorporating an exceptional community lifestyle close to the heart of Goulburn. Along with our brand new independent living villas, we are also expanding our existing award winning aged care home, with an additional 40 high care private rooms all with ensuite bathrooms, situated in the proposed new Waratah house, alongside Acacia , Banksia and Grevillea .
